Winter's Delight
From soft fluffy blankets suspended above
Come nature's delicate gifts of love
S-l-o-w-ly they appear . . . one . . . and . . . two . . . . and a-n-o-t-h-e-r
So s-l-o-w . . . do they descend or merely hover?
Then finally with gentle caress they touch ground
Kissing their new-found home with nary a sound
Now emboldened! They appear more quickly
And populate the nippy air more thickly
DOWN they come love's duty performing
As hill and oak and tree transforming
Every gash and scar and blemish to dismiss
Unerringly covering with healing kiss
The job now done - all is calm and peaceful and white
A magical wonderland - winter's delight!
