Twice As Much

For the many who go it alone
Raising their chilren on their own
It matters not how you arrived here
Only that you love your children dear
Striving to provide the love of two
When there's buy one who's loving . . . you

For whether they were gifted to thee
By marriage or detour or proxy
You stood strong and answered the call
Feeding and clothing and loving them all
Where others might not have, you persevered
And for that you are to be most revered

And I have no doubt whatsoever
That when you attain the land of forever
You will receive twice the renown
And have special embellishment upon your crown
For having provided the love of two
When there was only the loving you
