Darling Rose
Years ago on bended knee did he propose Soon followed rings and cake and wedding bows In time, she to him a gift bestows A darling blossom they named Rose How quickly their beauteous flower grows! How quickly life lived in love goes! In the blink of an eye, life came to a close And, as in life, so in eternal repose Their hearts which each other chose Will remain united in graves that juxtapose And though many a tear flows Our flower smiles for she knows They've but gone ahead to compose A lovely welcome home for our darling Rose!
