None, If By Force

You, O God, are infinitely powerful
The depth of your love immeasurable

With every iota of your boundless love
You envelope me in an impenetrable glove

With every invincible ounce of your strength
You keep any who would disjoin at safe length

There is no army mighty enough
Its muster might match your tough

No flood ferocious enough
Your ardent flame it might snuff

No earthquake destructive enough
It might fell love's precipitous bluff

Not even Satan and the legions of hell
Can your unyielding love for me quell

And yet . . . what no force can sever . . .
What no maliciousness can deter . . .

From one alone can You not protect . . .
Should I myself your free gift reject . . .
